Funny Text!

So here's a quick post just to brighten your day. Last week Britney randomly got a text message on her phone that was obviously not for us. She showed it to me and I just couldn't resist. This is how it went:

Unknown number:  I'm interested in your stove. Is it black and stainless or just black?

Me: Its a 1967 classic collector's edition "Norge". But its more of a silver and brown with weird spiral things on the glass. Not much black except the burnt stuff on the bottom.

This is the picture I sent. Yes, this is really our oven, manufactured circa 1967.

Unknown number: Thats not the picture on KSL.

Me: Oh, well you asked about our stove and that's the only one we have. You might have the wrong number. But if your still interested we can probably part with it for the right price...

Unknown number: Thank you

Me: You're welcome. Does this mean you're not interested? It really is a classic...

(no response)

I wanted to drag it out a bit longer but I didn't want this person to somehow find my address and murder me in the night. You just never know these days.

We had a pretty good laugh over this conversation. Its the little things in life right?

"So, how's the married life?"

Aaahh, the classic question. I used to be the one asking my newly married friends, now a day hardly goes by that I'm not asked at least 63.243 times how the married life is.

Well the answer is: GREAT! We have now been married 3/4 of a month and so far, so good. We spent the first few weeks of our marriage building on a solid foundation, vacation.

We sailed through first week of our honeymoon vacation on a cruise boat in the Caribbean ocean and loving every second of it. The food was amazing, the weather was pretty great and the sunsets were awesome!

In Cozumel Britney tried snorkeling for the first time and she loved it! Almost as much as she enjoyed this kiss judging by her face in this picture ;) The water here was beautiful and there were cool fishes swimming all over the place.
After the cruise we spent a week in central California exploring Monterey, Santa Cruz, Big Sur and dodging bullets in Salinas.

....something tells me we have a lot of recycling to do.
We did a little open house for friends and family in Salinas on friday night and then after two weeks of newly wed bliss it was back to real life in Idaho. Our favorite part of the trip back home was opening all the super cool presents that everyone got for us! We owe you all a huge thank you, we have been eating great with all our new kitchen gear, the bathroom looks very nice, our bedroom has been nicely decorated and as for the guest room...

Since we've been back in Rexburg its been lame adjusting to the real world. We are used to spending 24/7 together but these days I have to work almost every day for 8 hours and sadly I don't think that's going to change until I retire in 3 years. School starts next week and then life will really get crazy! In the meantime Britney is looking for a job and I have been lucky to come home from work to a delicious meal hot on the table every night. Marriage is great!

Well that's all for now. We'll keep ya posted!

Happy Ever After

At last the day has come when I finally sealed the deal with Adam, the cream filling in my Oreo.

As we start this new adventure together, we invite you to come along, for heaven knows its gonna be a great ride.
